Play-Offs

Many people have wondered exactly what the playoffs look like or only had a partial understanding of the format, so I will explain everything in this article.

Seeding

The seeding is as follows: Div 1: 1. - Seed 1 - Semi-Finals Upper Bracket 2. - Seed 2 - Semi-Finals Upper Bracket 3. - Seed 3 - First Round Upper Bracket 4. - Seed 4 - First Round Upper Bracket 5. - Seed 5 - First Round Upper Bracket 6. - Seed 6 - First Round Upper Bracket 7. - Seed 7 - First Round Lower Bracket 8. - Seed 8 - First Round Lower Bracket Div 2 1. - Seed 9 - First Round Lower Bracket 2. - Seed 10 - First Round Lower Bracket

Format


Week 10 is the week directly following Week 9 of the Divisionals. Since Challonge unfortunately does not support our format, we are using the Excel table. You can always find the updated table at: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1lwSJdACzSRHFucBzJI_qooaf6F6cdPKhv2zcm_Zv8UU/edit?usp=sharing

In Round 1 of the Upper Bracket, Seed 3 gets to choose their opponent between Seed 5 and Seed 6. In Round 1 of the Lower Bracket, Seed 7 gets to choose their opponent between Seed 9 and Seed 10. In the Upper Bracket Semi-Finals, Seed 1 gets to choose their opponent from the two winners from Round 1. The higher seed always gets to choose their side for Game 1, no matter what the circumstances are.


Scheduling

The earliest possible time to schedule the next match is as soon as it is known who you will be playing against. The latest possible time is Sunday 23:59 of the respective week. The date and time of the match must always be posted as early as possible in #roster-lockin. If no date and time have been scheduled by Tuesday 23:59, the default time of Sunday 20:00 (Sunday 19:00 for Bo5s) will automatically become the scheduled time.
Games cannot be pushed into the next week.

Play-Offs Rules

Emergency subs are completely prohibited.

Roster lock-ins must be done 24 hours in advance. For each started hour, the team loses one ban. The order of the bans lost is: 1, 4, 2, 5, 3. Once the 6th hour starts, bans will be deducted for the 2nd game. This cycle continues.

Roster lock-ins consist of the 5 main roster players and up to 3 substitutes.

It feels like a long time coming, and I must admit, the energy and engagement from the community this split have been incredible. SLE Weekly 6.2 It's been a while since the last SLE Weekly.  SLE Weekly was discontinued due to a lot of negative comments and DM's towards the creator. This is a final attempt to bring the SLE Weekly back without Death Threats, Doxxing Attemps or Hate. We really hope to be able to release this content without such instances.
