Grading every Team of SLE Split 4

The curtains have closed on another exhilarating season SLE, leaving behind a trail of memorable moments, intense rivalries, and heart-stopping clashes on the Rift. Split 4 brought forth a fresh wave of talent, as teams battled fiercely to secure their positions in the playoffs and vie for the highly coveted SLE title. Now, as the dust settles and the final echoes of cheers fade away, it's time to reflect upon the performances of each team and assign them their well-deserved grades.

Every team will be recieve up to 3 Grades. The Play-Ins will make up between 10%-20%, the Divisional Round between 60%-80% and the Play-Offs 30% of the final Grade. Last Split's Top 5 Teams and their grades were: 5. CCG Theta Draconis -B+ 4. Eternal Blizzard - B     3. Reef Esports - B 2. Black Manta - A 1. Good Chi Gaming - S+

18. Trauma Factory

Play-Ins: E- Division 2: F Final Grade: F

Trauma Factory has been perhaps the weakest team in SLE history. In the Play-Ins, they only managed to win one match. In Division 2, they were nearly winless before ultimately dropping out way too early of the SLE.

Note: The team's performance throughout Split 4 has been disappointing, with significant room for improvement.

17. CCG Theta Draconis

Play-Ins: D- Division 2: F Final Grade: E- Last Split: B+

CCG Theta Draconis had a disappointing performance in the Play-Ins, especially considering their strong showing as one of the top Division 1 teams in Split 3. They dropped out after just two matches in Division 2, which was attributed to issues with time management.

Note: While they faced setbacks, CCG Theta Draconis still showed potential and moments reminding them of their past glory.

16. Par for the Rift

Play-Ins: D+ Division 2: F Final Grade: E-

Par For the Rift managed to reach the tiebreakers for Division 1 but unfortunately fell short, losing to Bärs & Burgare (the 9th seed of Division 1). Their journey in Division 2 was also cut short, as they forfeited early.

Note: Nearly making it to Division 1 opens a question: Would they continued the Split in Division 1?

15. Samsung Black

Play-Ins: D+ Division 2: F Final Grade: E-

Samsung Black fell short in the tiebreaker against Runtime (10th in Division 1) after going 3-3 aswell and unfortunately had to forfeit after participating in only one match in Division 2.

Note: Samsung Black was another team which forfeited during their Division 2 run, but their Play-Ins were pretty okay.

14. Runtime

Play-Ins: C Division 1: F Final Grade: E Last Split: D- Team MVP: Colasky

Runtime, despite their successful qualification for Division 1, faced a series of defeats throughout the split. Unfortunately, they concluded the season as the poorest-performing Division 1 team in SLE history.

Note: After reaching Division 1, Runtime lost every single match. Nevertheless, they managed to complete their split.

13. Bärs & Burgare

Play-Ins: C Division 1: E Final Grade: E+ Team MVP: LMR

Bärs & Burgare had strong roster around botlaner LMR. However, they ultimately finished in 9th place.

Note: Bärs & Burgare had many close games that could have brought them to the playoffs, which they ultimatly lost.

12. Primordials

Division 1: C- Play-Offs: E- Final Grade: D Last Split: A- Team MVP: Ahlefeldt

As the reigning Division 2 Champions, Primordials started this split without the need of Play-Ins. They surprised many and finished 7th in Divisionals before losing to White Tigers.

Note: Even though they have never successfully completed the Play-Ins, they still managed to stand up to some Division 1 Teams. Especially Ahlefeldt had a good Split.

11. Wacky Wraiths

Play-Ins: S- Division 1: C- Play-Offs: F Final Grade: D+ Team MVP: Robbery

Wacky Wraiths started with a really strong performance in the Play-Ins and had dominant first games in Division 1. However, they gradually declined and became worse as the split progressed.

Note: Many wonder what could have been, if Spoeka and Lina continued to play, instead of Nirlien and Usejin.

10. Good Chi Gaming

Division 1: C+ Play-Offs: E+ Final Grade: C- Last Split: S Team MVP: Sovonix

The former best team of the SLE also didn't need to play play-ins after winning Division 1 in Split 3. They had an average Division 1 run but ultimately lost both Play-Offs matches and were eliminated.

Note: Good Chi didn't look the same this Split. While the roster still had many top Players and the GOAT Sovonix, they didn't meet the high exspectations.

9. Hublibubs

Play-Ins: D- Division 2: C Final Grade: C- Team MVP: I Wont Leash

The Hublibubs had many strong games before being disqualified for using a Master player.

Note: The Star-Player of the Hublibubs (IWL) had a stellar split with multiple pentakills, before his jungler's mistake cost his team the license to play in the SLE.

8. Dream Team

Play-Ins: D Division 2: B- Final Grade: C+ Last Split: B Team MVP: Omalese

Dream Team once again made a run in Division 2, finishing 3rd after losing to Black Manta in Division 2 Knock-Outs.

Note: Even though the Team has always been one of the weaker teams, they continued to play. Something a few other teams could learn from.

7. CCG Muffins

Play-Ins: S- Division 1: C Play-Offs: B Final Grade: C+ Team MVP: Sanixx

CCG Muffins started the tournament with a really strong performance in the Play-Ins. During Division 1, they showed glimpses of strength but also displayed inconsistency. In the Play-Offs, they stepped up their game and performed exceptionally well, with their only loss coming against the eventual champions, Vitagen.

Note: With more Consistency CCG Muffins might have finished higher than 4th. Vitagen was the final Boss for the last CCG Roster.

6. White Tigers Esports

Play-Ins: E- Division 2: A+ Play-Offs: C+ Final Grade: B- Team MVP: Aeong

This team showed remarkable improvement throughout the entire Split, consistently raising the bar. However, their journey was marred by scandals and controversies off the rift, ultimately leading to their disqualification.

Note: Without the whole drama this team could have left a real legacy with players like Valor or Aeong potentially joining Good Chi. The Events ruined every chance of that.

5. Snek Pack

Play-Ins: C+ Division 1: S- Play-Offs: D Final Grade: B- Team MVP: Evoh

The Division 1 Champion had two faces this Split. In the Play-Ins on Day 1, they went 3-0, only to go 0-3 on Day 2. They emerged victorious in Division 1, only to lose both Play-Off matches.

Note: Without Meta changes they could have maybe have a serious run for the SLE Title.

4. Kakapo-Addax

Play-Ins: B+ Division 1: B- Play-Offs: B- Final Grade: B- Team MVP: Ghost

The best Italian roster of all time finished 3rd. However, their 0-6 finish against Dolly5 and Vitagen lowered their Play-Off grade.

Note: Eren (JL) carried his team to an all time high for any Italian Team. When it mattered the most he fell off and the Bird Team's performance with it.

3. Black Manta

Play-Ins: D+ Division 2: S Play-Offs: D+ Final Grade: B Last Split: A Team MVP: Linus

The silver medalist had a really disappointing Play-Ins with missing key players, just to have a nearly perfect Division 2 run. In the Play-Offs, they eliminated the German counterpart of the Wacky Wraiths before falling short to CCG Muffins.

Note: At the end of Play-Ins they were at 3-3 and got later Division 1 Title Winner Snek Pack as their Tiebreaker opponent. With a different opponent their story could have been different.

2. Dolly5

Play-Ins: A+ Division 1: A+ Play-Offs: A+ Final Grade: A+ Team MVP: Shikiorin

Just one step short of the SLE Title, Dolly5 still had a really good split. They finished 2nd in Play-Ins, 2nd in Division 1, and 2nd in the Play-Offs.

Note: Even though they didn't make the final step, Dolly5 still had a really good split. Especially for Shikiorin this split had been prove for his capability.

1. Vitagen

Play-Ins: S+ Division 1: B+ Play-Offs: S Final Grade: S- Team MVP: Loco64

When the team was formed, everyone thought they might be the best team. After Play-Ins, they started to struggle, but even despite the setbacks, many still had them as favorites. And rightfully so. They won it all this time and deserve all the glory.

Note: For 3 of the 5 Players a Multiple-Split long dream came true. Loco became the first player to win the SLE on 2 Teams and Ant has been one of, if not the best, rookie of SLE History. Deserved Champions!!!
